The use of Multi-Cloud Platforms (MCP) and the rise of new standards such as the Model Context Protocol are fundamentally influencing how modern applications connect, share data and scale up or down across distributed environments. MCP, among other things, provides the freedom to choose the best solution, the capability to work together and the possibility of better performance. However, the disadvantage is that it makes the landscape of security and reliability issues very complicated, which cannot be ignored at all. As dependence on interconnected systems increases, it is of paramount importance to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. This document examines the major security issues of MCP systems, including security policies working in isolation, weak access control mechanisms, potential data leaks, and problems arising from the interaction of distributed systems. At the same time, it highlights risks such as misconfigurations, insecure APIs and ambiguous trust boundaries in a multi-cloud or protocol-driven world. To reduce these risks, the paper offers ways for parties using multi-clouds to improve cooperation and security. The research method adopted is a mix of theoretical discussion and practical guidance based on the review of implementation examples and major industry trends. The research points to the best way to mitigate risks while allowing continued MCP adoption: standardization and protocols that surface security weaknesses across multi-cloud environments. This paper aims to provide an in-depth overview of MCP-related risks.
