Abstract

Groundwater is an important source of water for drinking, agriculture, and domestic use. In this study, ten groundwater samples were collected from different locations and analyzed for various physico-chemical parameters such as pH, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), calcium, magnesium, chloride, sulfate, sodium, potassium, bicarbonate, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Biological Demand Oxygen (BOD), and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). The results were compared with World Health Organization (WHO) standards to determine the suitability of groundwater for drinking. The results show that most parameters are within the permissible limits, while a few samples show slightly higher TDS and chloride levels. Overall, the study indicates that groundwater quality in the study area is generally suitable for drinking and domestic use. However, continuous monitoring and proper management are necessary to protect water resources.
