Legacy environments with fragile infrastructure and fractured data stores, combined with manual checks, make it difficult for modern financial and insurance institutions to meet the increasing demand for timely, auditable regulatory reporting. To mitigate these vulnerabilities, this paper proposes a highly available and scalable enterprise architecture for regulatory reporting that leverages automated data validation, centralised data governance and resilient cloud-native infrastructure. The proposed platform ingests and normalises data from heterogeneous operational systems, applying configurable validation rules to check completeness, referential integrity and compliance at the point of ingestion rather than at the end of reporting cycles. The system relies on multi-node application clusters, smart traffic routing, synchronised storage replication and automated disaster recovery for continuous operational resilience and 24/7 service availability. Built-in observability features provide distributed tracing and real-time monitoring dashboards, delivering full data lineage and immutable audit trails for easier regulatory examinations. Comparative studies show that this RegTech system significantly improves reporting accuracy, infrastructure failover readiness, and operational scalability, offering regulated entities a robust, future-proof roadmap for ongoing compliance governance.
